Industrial Wastewater / Industrial Process Water Treatment
Our patented treatment technologies have applications in a wide range of waste streams and particularly those that are extremely difficult or impossible to treat utilizing available conventional technology.
Wastewater containing highly chelated materials, emulsions and mixtures of soluble organic materials have been successfully treated reflecting contaminant removal to non-detectable levels.
The most difficult problem to overcome in wastewater treatment is the destruction of chemical bonds that hold particulate matter in suspension. Compounds used in many chemical-cleaning compounds contain chelating agents to enhance cleaning and provide water-softening capabilities. Chelators, combined with other naturally occurring compounds used in process waters, bind contaminants to molecules of water in a manner that renders conventional treatment processes ineffective.
The wastewater treatment processes have been successfully used to treat and remove both organic and inorganic materials from process waters generated in fiber glass manufacturing, olive processing, metal plating, food processing, ink manufacturing and mining operations. The treatment process will destroy stable chemical bonds thereby providing an environment conducive to conventional precipitation treatment often reducing chemical additive costs, providing dramatic reductions in B.O.D., C.O.D. and T.S.S., and producing exceptionally high quality clarified effluent.

Ms. Katherine Clay
Environmental Health and Safety Manager, Spectra-Physics, Oroville, CA
“I am pleased to work with these people and their technology. They have become trusted friends because they took the time to understand our needs and our problems before they offered solutions.
“They demonstrated from the outset that they have a keen eye on our operational concerns and keeping us happy. I can heartily recommend their business based on these factors.
“And, the treatment results were beyond our expectations.” |
Metal Working Effluents
Systems have been installed using our patented processes for treating wastewater comprised of steam cleaning water contaminated with heavy metals, hydrocarbons and metal working coolants generated in metal fabrication operations.
A system installed in 1995 at a large machine shop facility in the Silicon Valley of California consistently produces clarified effluent that exceeds the discharge requirements of the Santa Clara Valley Water Authority that is noted as having the most stringent discharge requirements in the nation. In this facility, diluting used coolant with the wastewater and treating in the system eliminates off-site disposal of spent machine coolant. The spent coolant is no longer classified and disposed of as a hazardous waste providing a substantial cost reduction for the company.
De-alkalization System
This is a process for removing alkaline minerals from water with minimal use of chemical additives. This patented process employs an ionic state modification process combined with clarification components to economically and efficiently strip alkaline materials (metals and salts) from desert type waters. Utilization of the De-Alkalization System will de-mineralize water, i.e. remove calcium, magnesium and silicates plus a wide range of other metal contaminants often present in alkaline waters.
The treatment process has wide spread application in pre-treating make-up water for use in boilers and cooling towers. By removing alkaline salts prior to use, chemical treatment costs can be drastically reduced and the cycles of concentrations can be increased, resulting in substantial reduction in water consumption. Reverse Osmosis Filtration feed water treated by the process will increase the R.O. efficiency and dramatically reduce side-stream discharge.

We offer a patented innovative technology for water disinfection. The Blue Sky System is an apparatus and method for anodic oxidation and destruction of pathogens (bacteria, viruses and single cell protozoa) in water.
The goal of this system is to provide an apparatus and method for treating water so as to render the water pathogen free for animal and human consumption in a wide variety of applications with a minimal amount of maintenance and energy consumption. |
The unique design of the Blue Sky System utilizes more than one set of electrodes within an enhanced magnetic field and arranged in such a manner as to provide the most effective flow of electrical current patterns. The electric fields produced in this manner non-selectively kill bacteria and any other microbes present in the flowing stream of water. In other words, the Blue Sky System efficiently and economically Electrocutes Water Borne Microbes regardless if they are gram positive or gram negative, viruses, fungi single cell protozoa and the cystic forms of Giardia and Cryptosporidium which are major threats to public water supplies.
The Blue Sky System is a viable alternative to the use of chlorine for water disinfection. Final regulatory approval testing on the Blue Sky System under review.
Package Potable Water Treatment System
We also market relatively small potable water treatment systems designed to accommodate flow rates up to 200 (gpm) gallons per minute. These potable water treatment systems utilize patented technology that provides disinfection of water without the use of chlorine. The equipment can either be skid mounted or installed within enclosed cargo containers for on-site installation.
The treatment process is initiated when raw water is pumped from an untreated source through a debris filter for removal of leaves, grit or other large materials. The water then flows through the patented BK System Reactor that destroys pathogenic microbes, including Giardia and Cryptosporidium, and alters the ionic state of various contaminants thereby increasing the efficiency of the next stage, the precipitation process.
The water is then subjected to the clarification process where positive and negative polymers are injected causing the solids to collect and settle to the bottom. The clarified water flows out of the top of the clarifier for final treatment in a multi-media filters, removing any remaining microscopic contaminants less than 5 microns.
Emergency water supply systems can be designed for specific applications in military use, disaster relief, remote installations and storm damaged areas.
The standard systems are designed to operate with a 5KW generator or comparable power source. Larger system components can be utilized to increase GPD flow requirements. |
